Valentina Franceschi

I'm a P.h.D. student in Mathematics at the University of Padova and my research interest is very close to the study of soap bubbles in some "strange" geometries (in mathematical language, what I study is about Calculus of Variations and Sub Riemannian geometry). My beloved city of birth is Bologna, where I spent much time for a great passion that I have, besides Mathematics: swimming! I've been swimming and racing in competitions for many years and I ended up being a teaching instructor for very young swimmers in my free time.
