Sandra Martino

Since 2007 Sandra Martino has been committed to self-determination and freedom of choice at the end of life for the not-for-profit association “Dignitas – To live with dignity – To die with dignity” in Switzerland and since 2016 also in Germany. In the aftermath of the German Federal Constitutional Court judgment of 26 February 2020, which declared the ban on assisted suicide to be invalid, she has been entrusted with the development of an infrastructure for safe and professionalised assisted suicide in Germany. She benefits from her many years of experience in Switzerland, where people have been able to make self-determined decisions about their lives and its end for almost four decades.
