With South Texas becoming a major entry point tot the US, there has been a surge in the number of unaccompanied minors from Mexico and other Central American countries.

This trend is saddening as it indicates a large number of migrants at the mercy of the US authorities. With greater emphasis on enforcement and closing-in policies, this trend will only become more dire and distressing.
