Q - What are the obstacles to change within organizations?

A - The most common problem I see is the organizational inertia that large corporations have as a part of their legacy cash generating business. Those businesses existed before the age of digitization and generate the entirety of the profit that the company runs on. This day to day operation can easily overshadow or monopolize the time of those necessary to facilitate the transformation.

Q - How does culture change in the digital age?

A - Usually culture change in the digital age is brought on by necessity. Only when the profit from operating the digital business outweighs the profit of the traditional business.

Q - What do you think are the biggest obstacles within your organization? Why?

A - I believe the biggest obstacles to our company is first, limited resources. Our company is not a traditional tech company, therefore investing so heavily in these technologies will one day require a high rate of return in order to positively influence future investment.

So in this way the ramifications of our early moves in the digital arena will last a very long time and could well define the trajectory of our journey.
