Hi guys! These tips will help you start an exercise ;-)

What is a leading line ?
enter image description here

Is an easy path for the eye to follow through different elements of a photo. Usually they start at the bottom of the frame and guide the eye upwards and inwards, from the foreground of the image to the background, typically leading toward the main subject.
The easiest place to find a leading line is on a road. Roadways!!because they go somewhere, give us a feeling of motion…
Lines are all around us in cities and in nature. Your job as an art student (using your camera (take a photograph or try to film through a camera or even draw something on a paper or make an installation ) is to find them and arrange them in your photograph so that they lead towards something, try to create a visual journey from one part of your image to another…
you can use a ‘Static Composition’, Compositions with lines being horizontal /or vertical are called Static Composition. In theory, horizontal and vertical lines are somewhat soothing, calm, tranquil…or try a ‘dynamic composition’ with your camera angle looking down at the subject. Depending on how camera is positioned, the ‘natural’ lines of the environment will look diagonal. When a composition has many diagonal lines it is called Dynamic Composition

Interesting article about how to use lines in photography composition.

An online useful guide to after effects : http://www.digitaltutors.com/tutorial/509-Beginners-Guide-to-After-Effects

In many ways After Effects is Photoshop but for moving footage, To make a new composition, use the Composition>New Composition menu item, which gives a panel for entering the settings required. If there's a file (or other composition) that could be used as a template for a new composition drag the chosen project element in the project window onto the small filmstrip icon at the bottom of the project panel...
