From the center of the map to the ends and back again

Born and raised in Greece it is easy to see how cultures and civilizations come and go. It is in the museums, the ancient remains of former worlds and the restored buildings that like jewels, highlight the beauty.
Then it is the language. It is easy to detect the swaying words from the cultures that have taken their nomadic turn from this places.
Finally and most importantly, it is easy to experience global culture through the internet and the media. They make communicating and learning light as a feather.
The travelling has of course assisted a great deal and in that note, it is a great opportunity to spread your wings and broaden your horizons.

Your journal entry got me thinking how the greek and the chinese culture (and arts) both go back a long way. Then I realised I do not know a thing about contemporary art from Greece, which is ashame. Do you have a few (online) adresses for starters?
