How do we decide what theory we will stick with? Personally I think all the proposed solutions could be both proven correct or false, depending on what fresh evidence will turn up in the future. However, at present, with the current ambiguity of the structure, there is no way to intrinsically prove a theory correct. Therefore, I am not convinced by any of the solutions to the point of believing them over the others, as they could all be explanations to such an interesting structure.
