This is my experiment for the Life and Beauty chapter.
This was inspired by the work of Stan Brakhage. I really enjoyed watching that again as part of this class. The lines reminded me of the the German Expressionist movie, "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" so thats where the name comes from. It has been exciting to do work again and see the work of everyone else. Hope you like this.
The first thing everyone notices in the Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" (1920) is the film's bizarre look. I love it! The 1920s were the decade that saw the rise of the Dada and Surrealist movements. The first rejected all pretense, all standards, all sincerity.... ;-) Thanks for the reference ;-)
can i ask you from where do you get the sound effects?
Your welcome, Angelina. I love that movie too. Thanks for reminding me of the Dadaists and Surrealists. I'll think bout their ideas and how to incorporate them in upcoming assignments.
Hi, Tasneem. I do the sound effects myself using Logic Pro. If your interested I could let you know what I did. Glad you liked it.
woooow!! that is so amazing :D the sound effects attracted me strongly in this project and former project.
Yes, of course I interested to know how.
Hi Tasneem, if your working with someone who is using Logic Pro software for sound, you can achieve the ringing overtones by using a Bell-like sound going through the Space Designer reverb. There is a preset in the Warped section called Arcane that will resonate certain frequencies. It is so fun to experiment and discover interesting possibilities. I so glad you liked it.
