Stonehenge & landscape

0

I think that Stonehenge can be considered on two levels: as a monument and as a functioanl construction. For the former, it is acceptable to consider it in isolation as a piece of art, so to speak. If we look at it as something built to serve a function, however, and although we may be unsure of what that is exactly, it is important to consider it in context with its environmnet so we should be looking at the landscape and other mesolithic/neolithic structures nearby.
