Minors at US borders

0

During the last years there has been an increment in unaccompanied children from Latin America entering the US borders in Texas. They come mainly from Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. They flee violence, muderers and strained economic conditions, so they constitute a humanitarian crisis in the southern states of US. The US government won't return back minors without a screening on each situation and a hearing before a judge. Minors are temporary hosted in facilities where they may stay for years, given the high numbers of people arriving and the slowness of procedures. Political parties urge to find a solution to this crisis, pushing in opposite directions (strenghten law enforcement vs improving hospitality).
