Chapter 3 Journal Activity

Just Like the Rest

Geoffrey on Monmouth provided an idea which caught people's attentions, yet as with every other theory, myths are heavily involved. Until we have concrete evidence of the construction and processes involved with Stonehenge, we cannot say whether anyone is right or wrong. Archaeologists working in the field are working for their own personal gain. The majority of people don't realise the significance of the structures and will happily accept any interesting theory or myth, therefore archaeologists aren't necessarily working in the shadow of Geoffrey of Monmouth.
