Climate Change and Health

According to me the priorirty on the UN agenda related to Health impact due to climate change should be Vectorborne Diseases.As a result of climate change a vast population is going to be affected due to expansions in vector ranges, shortening of pathogen incubation periods, and relocation of large human populations. Research should enhance
the existing pathogen/vector control infrastructure including vector
and host identification.
Disease risk may increase because of mainly two reasons:-
Lack of vaccines like for Dengue Virus.
Shift of disease target areas and unpreparedness of those nations to deal with the sudden onset of the diseases like malaria.
The solution involoves Incorporating ecological studies to
provide better predictive models; and improve risk communication
and prevention strategies.
