Given the knowledge that is being learned every year in regards the entire region, one simply can not label Stonehenge as 'just the Stones '
The massive undertaking that was involved in the construction of the Stones clearly defines that Stonehenge was the center piece of the region. With new satellite photography unveiling long disintegrated wood pillars, roads and buried stones, its amazing how large the area of Stonehenge actually is.

We may never know how many people were attending ceremonies at the center rings, but in my opinion I believe there was a migration at the very least twice per year drawing the population from the far reaches of the British Isles.

The region of Stonehenge is even larger what is now known
