Climate Change policy

According to you, which health impact due to climate change should be prioritized on the United Nations agenda?

Vector-borne diseases impact due to the climate changes

According my opinion, the United Nation should be prioritized in the agenda Vector-borne diseases impact due to the climate changes, as well as some other infection diseases.

Vector-borne diseases are illnesses caused by pathogens and parasites in human populations. According to WHO, every year there are more than 1 billion cases or 17% of all infectious diseases and over 1 million deaths from vector-borne diseases such as malaria, dengue, etc. and most recently from ZIKA virus.
ZIKA infection has affected not only developing countries but also in developed countries like USA and some European countries, transmitted by international traveling through infected countries.
Zika virus is transmitted to people primarily through the bite of an infected Aedes species mosquito. These are the same mosquitoes that spread dengue and chikungunya viruses.
• These mosquitoes typically lay eggs in and near standing water in things like buckets, bowls, animal dishes, flower pots and vases. They prefer to bite people, and live indoors and outdoors near people.
o Mosquitoes that spread chikungunya, dengue, and Zika are aggressive daytime biters. They can also bite at night.
• Mosquitoes become infected when they feed on a person already infected with the virus. Infected mosquitoes can then spread the virus to other people through bites.
• The most danger risk is a mother can pass Zika virus to her fetus during pregnancy.
