  1. The project “Art Nouveau Heritage and Knowledge Centre” provided funds for the restoration of the Hospital Santa Creu i Sant Pau in Barcelona. The hospital is a jewel of the art nouveau architecture and it was sustainably restored into a cultural tourist attraction and its pavilions destined to lodge NGOs and UN organisations. The project was financed by the European Regional Development Fund from the Operational Programme “Cataluña” for the 2007 to 2013.

  2. The project “EFA 32/08 HTC: Cross-border Hospital of Cerdanya” financed the construction of the cross-border hospital in Cerdanya. Two regions of France and Spain, sharing a common border, have decided to build a cross-border hospital in order to improve the access to healthcare of the local population. The project belonged to the POCTEFA programme for the 2007 to 2013 programming period.

  3. The project “Expansion of the Port of Barcelona” involved the construction of the South and East Breakwaters at the Port of Barcelona. The works have more than doubled the total area of sheltered water, which has risen from 374 to 793 hectares, and have extended the land surface area in order to house new wharfs and cruise terminals. The project was financed by a Cohesion Fund from the 2007 to 2013 period.
