Climate Change and Health

To me, climate change is the first problem in the history of mankind which could affect all people, no matter where they come from and how big their income is. At the same time, it is one thing that could unite the whole humanity.
Yes, there are other threats, such as terrorism and nuclear weaponry; but all of them cause the people to divide themselves into groups, distinguishing "us", the good guys, and "them", the people who threaten us. On the other side, if we want to stop climate change, we need to broaden our horizons, and to perceive the whole of humanity as one entity.
We are those who should adopt suitable policies in order to curb the greenhouse gas emissions, promote sustainable lifestyles, and support investments in reforestation and alternative energy sources. We are those who should root out instrumentalistic approach to the nature, and adopt a more eco-friendly, holistic point of view, where humans are just a part of the cycle of life. And lastly, we are those who should encourage the redistribution of goods, where the countries which have dealt the most damage to the Earth should provide the funds to the developing countries, who are dealing with the most damage.
You know what is the best part of it? By doing all of the above mentioned, we are shaping a more equal, healthy and abundant society. And that is what climate change is for me: an opportunity to turn the biggest problem in the history of mankind into the cause for creating a society which is healthier - in every possible way.
