Decent Work in Global Supply Chains

In my opinion CSR should firstly concentrate on avoiding impacts emanating from the company's activities. This includes of course working conditions of the workforce (be it direct employees or workers employed in outsourced activities), but it should equally address other environmental, social and governance issues (e.g. pollution related to the core business, resettlement of populations linked to a new operation, corruption...). Other activities typically integrated in CSRs policies and that can be assimilated to charity, should in my opinion be secondary.
