Chapter 4 Journal Activity
British culture and Stonehenge
British culture and Stonehenge are essentially inseparable from one another. Stonehenge has existed longer than our recorded history and as such it has been an embedded throughout. It is in our literature, art, music, movies; essentially it can be seen in every form of media throughout the ages. If not directly addressed in art forms, it is known that Stonehenge has acted as an inspiration for many other artists throughout history. Its grandeur and mystery while perplexing, can inspire wonder in the most feeble of imaginations.
While much of Stonehenge's purpose and execution are unknown and it has been seldom used in recorded history, its existence has always been apart of our cultural foundations and will continue to inspire artists, authors and other creative minds as long as it remains.
