According to you, which health impact due to climate change should be prioritized on the United Nations agenda?
I personally think that the most devastating health impacts due to climate change will be those related to the rising temperatures. Heat, and the subsequent drought, along with all the effects that excessive heat has on even the healthies bodies, are something to be worried about. And on this subject I talk not only about human beings, but all life form on the planet. Animal extinction is a fact, and it is happening every day, and one of those causes are the rising temperatures, causing erratic migration, among other problems. Things as simple as keeping forests or planting trees get so much more complicated when a government is implicated or when economic profic is on the line, and this has to stop.
Hi I'm Elvira and agree with you that the first effect is an increasing in temperature. This is the first direct impact on the health of human beings and not, that could be accompained by periods of famine. Indirect effects would depend on a tropicalization of climate with very different rainfall patterns, that could rain in few days the rain would fall in 6 months, with formation of storms and floods which would couse loss of human life and animals. That already happen in september and october in Italy.
