1. What motivated you to register onto this MOOC?

I would like to increase my employability. In the recent decade, I have had too little work, due to my foreign diplomas and work permit requirements. I am also interested in working in Germany.

2. Where do you come from and what is your area of studies or work?

I have higher education in translation (English and Swedish) from a university in Russia. I have worked in Russia, Sweden and Québec. Now I live in Finland, where I study and do some part-time work. Currently I study the French language at a university, and I would like to study German instead. You can see more here: http://linkedin.com/in/belov

3. What do you value in your career or job?

I value the possibility to work in the region of my interest (Europe) and use my skills. Of course, the salary should not be too low.

4. What short-term career plans do you have - what will be your next move?

I want to improve my German in order to be able to apply for jobs requiring this language. Now, with fluent English, Russian, French, Swedish, as well as working level of Finnish, I am practically unemployed.

5. What long-term career plans do you have - what will your career be like in the 2020s?

I wish to improve German to a fluent level in order to be better employable. I also want to get the right to live and work in the EU/EEA. In my work, I would like to use my language skills and, if possible, to do interpreting and teaching.
