1st Chapter and ILO

The ILO is a necessary body to counter the most egregious forms of labor exploitation. But, my view of the reliance on its standards, particularly as it regards compliance and enforcement, leaves workers behind in many cases. Capital's ability to move its production to where the wages are lowest and the governments most despotic, often nullifies international
conventions and makes workers organizations struggle just to remain viable. Reforms are OK but must evolve into "transforms", in order to allow workers their best ability to protect their rights and advance their status in the greater framework of human rights.
