This very serious issue in Nepal. To eradicate the child and forced labour Union can play key role to aware society about the child rights & to implement it, lobby with government for proper inspection of child labour in workplaces and take action against child rights violation, conduct awareness and education programmes etc

In Nepal, General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions (GEFONT) has Policy on child labour i.e Children Out of work and Into the School; Adults into the Work!

GEFONT has been conducting Awareness Campaign on Child Rights to eliminate the child labour in formal & informal sector as well as Education & Scholarship programme to children.
