Journal Exercise: #140characterchallenge

Write down the biggest challenge you have faced in the context of (corporate) digital learning and share it with the course in your journal (make sure your settings are not set to private). Write it in the form of a short twitter post or text message and find a hashtag for it. Maybe you also have a picture or an image related to it? Upload your text with a nice visual and make sure to check and give feedback on other journal entries as well.

Our biggest challenge #datasecurity

Our biggest challenge so far was to negotiate with and finally convince our IT partners and data security specialists. Saving lots of personal data in a cloud (e.g. learning progress, but also participation rate, results in test, etc.) was not accepted at all in the first place so finally we found a compromise and save only "neutral" information such as "course finished: yes or no"? This makes it much more difficult for us to monitor participation and measure ROI/ROE.

I totaly agree. To make all the data security and protection Topics work around a Training is more time consuming than creating a wbt. But it is worth it. We started with cloud Trainings for the security peoeple themselves. So they were involved in the Topic from the beginning and since they had their own stakes in it, things went quicker.

Hi Martina,

thanks for your comment. We came to the same conclusion and therefore we currently design a course together with our internal IT and data specialists. Co-creation absolutely helps to see and understand the other perspective. I croos my fingers that we will then have the same positive experiences that you already had :-)
