As the article said, the best eLearning format would be a combination of both. Although the last thing I would use is video because of the time, expense to develop it - and because of its intrinsically passive nature in delivering training.

I would stick to using LCMS plus when possible use blended learning in my courses so as not to lose the human touch. This is specially important since most of the programs I run (salesmanship, negotiating) involve rule-plays wherein a live human partner facilitates learning.
