SCROLL DOWN FOR INSTRUCTIONS

Read this article and share your views with colleagues. Is the Australian "Pacific solution" against human rights? What do you think of Nauru and the other "prison islands"?

As always, you can share your view by writing in your own journal, but also commenting on what others have written.

The tough policy of the Australian government and the cry of people

0

The large amount of people taking part to protests in many Australian cities is the proof that many, except the conservatives, are fed up of the restricted policies of their Government towards the migrants.

Many feel ashamed of the announced possibily to sent 267 people to the like-prison building in Nauru, an offshore detention center.

What strucks more are the testimonies of people who experiended the place in the past. For sure a place which is terrible for adults and much more for children. Amongst the 267 people there are also 72 children.

Maybe the prime minister is considering how much of the population is with him and how much in against before making the final decision. Or, simply, it doesn't care the consequences, For sure is doesn't care the dire effects the detention in such a camp would have on the children and the whole people.
