CCAA | Chinese Contemporary Art Award

Having recently lived in China and experiencing their very diverse culture, their strong attatchment to their traditions and most importantly family, I felt that there was a lack of expression in peoples lives. That is partially caused by their culture, but somewhat supported by the small amount of influence of the West. I visited the 798 Art District in Beijing and I met Yang Zi an artist who works in this creative hub of China. He re-established my passion for the art world. I suddenly stood infornt of a man who belived in my expertise, a little more so than I did. I started researching the art scene in China and realised that it's almost an undiscovered treasure when compared to the over populated art world in Europe. I feel that this course can be my stepping stone in pursuing my career. I'm so very excited to go back to China having the knowledge that this course offers.
